We’d like to introduce you to one of the cutest doggie couples at Seal Beach Animal Care Center: Joshua and Savanna.
But first we have to ask one very important question: Is your heart big enough?
Let us explain why we ask this question:
First, you will need a heart that’s big enough for a good-sized portion of patience.
You’ll need patience to accept the fact that they’re still both a little shy and the most you may get from them at first may by a quick pet on the head before they walk away. But rest assured; they’re just studying you to ensure that you’re a potential friend.
Next, you’ll need room for a large measure of understanding. You’ll need to understand the environment that they came from and the fact that they had very limited interaction with humans. These two cuties were living on a property in Pinion Hills with over forty other dogs and only one man where they had to compete for food and shelter. They’ve come a very long way in adjusting to a new life. They’ve had to learn new things such as accepting and giving affection as well as walking on a leash (which they both do very well).
You’ll need to understand that although they’re still shy, they’re capable and desirous of a forever home but they will have to warm up on their own terms and timing.
Last but not least, (and this will require the most room) you will need room for love.
Not only to hold your love for these two, but for the extensive amount of love that these two will give you. As long as you have the patience, understanding and love that these two require; the remaining room in your heart will be completely filled by the love from these two awesome dogs.
So once again, we ask: Is your heart big enough?
**A home check will be required.
