Attention Husky lovers! This handsome fellow is Ross, a 1 1/2 year old Husky mix. He came to us a few weeks ago as a stray with a little bump on his cheek. We originally thought it was an infection and he was prescribed antibiotics, but the bump only got larger. We just recently found out that Ross has a mast cell tumor.
Ross started his chemotherapy meds along with some other medications to shrink the tumor, and it’s working! The tumor has shrunk half in size with just one week of oral chemo therapy, along with other medications! Unless you knew the tumor was there, you wouldn’t notice it, which is great!
Ross is still his bouncy, lively and happy self. You wouldn’t even know he was sick! Ross is being beyond spoiled by all of the volunteers with lots of love and entertainment. He is also enjoying car rides and traveling to new locations to explore! Perhaps you’ve seen him walking down Main Street? Although Ross has cancer, we don’t want that to stop a loving family from adopting him. We would love to find him a home where he can be doted on, loved and spoiled. All medical expenses would be paid for by the SBACC. If interested, please contact us directly. It would need to be a very special special home.
