Hi friends! My name is O’Malley…at least that’s what the volunteers at the shelter have been calling me. I really like that name. It’s Irish and the luck of the Irish has been with me and 14 other dogs just like me. Having been rescued from a home where we were so badly neglected, it is nice to be clean, cared for and cuddled. I consider myself to be very special. I’m special, not only because I am incredibly cute, but also because I am blind. Perhaps the only thing worse than being blind is to have sight but not be able to see. How could anyone look at us and not see our sad situation? But now we are in a safe place where people all around us are providing us with loving care, protection and kind words. It’s a new beginning for all of us and I speak for every dog at this wonderful shelter when I say THANK YOU! And with this new Irish name, I feel entitled to say this: “Sure and this isn’t blarney, for what I have to say is true. The luck of the Irish was with us, the day that we met you”.
