The Seal Beach Animal Care Center is a non-profit, pro-humane shelter that provides a safe haven for lost, homeless, abused and abandoned animals. We have been bringing pets and people together since 1988!

The Care Center is supported solely by donations and fundraisers and because we are a pro-humane organization, we incur far more medical expenses than most other shelters. From treating simple conditions such as upper respiratory infection to providing life-saving surgeries, we are committed to giving each cat and dog every opportunity for a happy and healthy "second chance."

All gifts to SBACC qualify for both a state and federal tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift, and immediately provide SBACC with necessary operating funds. MEMBERSHIP

Your membership donation entitles you to receive our newsletter and to vote in our elections. There are currently five(5) types of membership:

• LIFETIME: $1000 (one time contribution)
• BENEFACTOR: $100 (annual donation)
• PATRON: $50 (annual donation)
• SUPPORTING: $25 (annual donation)

TREE OF LIFE

We are pleased to offer a program that allows you to make a donation in honor of or in memory of a person or pet. Any such donation of $100 or more entitles you to a gold leaf on our Tree of Life, which will be engraved with a message of your choice and prominantly displayed in our lobby. A contribuition of any amount can be made in honor of or in memory of a person or pet. Just download the printable form and send it to us with your contribution, and we will send a card to the family or individual in whose name the donation was made, and will send you a card recognizing the donation.

DONATIONS THROUGH SHOPPING!

WILL

A gift through a Will must go through the Superior Probate Court and takes approximately one year before SBACC receives the gift. Because SBACC is a tax exempt charity, the gift is not subject to inheritance taxes.

REVOCABLE TRUST

A gift through a Trust allows SBACC to receive your gift immediately upon your passing. Because SBACC is a tax-exempt charity the gift is not subject to inheritance taxes.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST

This concept allows an individual to transfer an asset to SBACC and 1) not pay capital gains taxes, 2) receive lifetime income from the gift, and 3) realize an income tax deduction. The asset (Real Estate or Stock) would be gifted to SBACC rather than sold, and the gift would be made at full market value and become irrevocable. SBACC would then sell the asset and purchase an annuity based on the asset value providing a lifetime income to the donor and upon death of the donor the principal of the annuity would revert to SBACC.

OTHER GIFTING IDEAS
Gifts can also be left through a Life Insurance Policy, Pension or Retirement Plan, a Charitable Trust or even by giving art, automobiles or stocks. (Please note, if donating a vehicle or boat, it is preferred to use a 3rd party charity such as Cars4Causes and specify the Seal Beach Animal Care Center as the beneficiary.)

We appreciate any donation you can make to help us care for our many homeless pets. However, we also need homes for our special babies who have ongoing conditions that require medication and/or treatment, while others just need a quiet loving home. Often, the pets that need our love and care the most are the most loving in return. If you have room in your heart and your home, please come in and visit our wonderful cats and dogs.
