Phoebe came into our lives at 17 years old, abandoned on the street and covered in mange. It broke our hearts to learn she also had kidney issues that needed a special diet and medications. Despite her rough exterior and dislike for other cats, Phoebe had a spirit that was truly one of a kind. She was selective about the people she trusted, but for those lucky few, her cuddles were a pure treasure. Her personality was wonderfully spicy; one moment, she could be sweet and affectionate, and the next, she’d give you that classic Phoebe glare, reminding you who was really in charge!
Phoebe was more than just a cat; she was a star! She graced the cover of the SBACC Cat Calendar not once, but twice, thanks to her favorite human, Kat. Kat had a special bond with Phoebe, always managing to capture her true essence while also being one of the few people who could coax her into playful moments.
After three cherished years with us, Phoebe let us know it was time for her to embark on her next adventure. Surrounded by several of her favorite humans who loved her deeply, she took her final journey over the Rainbow Bridge. We find comfort in believing that she’s out there, ruling the roost and keeping all the other cats on their toes. Phoebe, our grumpy yet sweet girl, will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
