Ode to Our Little Ray of Sunshine.
She came to us, this bouncy little ray of sunshine in an itty-bitty Chihuahua mix. Sunshine was a senior gal, but spunky was her middle name. She would dart into the office anytime she saw an opportunity. I think she just liked being scooped back up because that always came with a cuddle and a kiss. Like the other “medical” dogs, Sunshine lived in the office as her health noticeably deteriorated. Because of the advanced stage of her lung cancer, we noticed her breathing became more labored and the medication was doing all it could. Sunshine enjoyed lots of love, pets, cuddles and walks throughout her stay at SBACC. On her last day, she enjoyed a puppuccino, cake and even a sleepover. We know that she was met by many of our favorite fur babies as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sunshine, please give kisses to Forest, Rosebud and Chloe, until we can meet them all again. Breathe free, sweetest baby girl. 🐾❤️
