Kimiko is a brown tabby/tortie colored female. She is about seven years old. Spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Kimiko was rescued from the streets of Long Beach as a kitten and lived indoors with a single father. She has never been outside and shows no desire to leave the house. Unfortunately, her father died unexpectedly. Several cats that were living in the household became homeless and were left to live outdoors. Kimiko was always shy and often hid throughout the day. Her father’s heirs and family can’t care for her and no longer want her. I have been fostering her (FON Rescue) since neighbors familiar with her father and the cat asked me to check on her health. She is NOT a cat that will survive outdoors. She is confused and scared but has a lot of love to give to the right person. She invites a companion with a faint meow. Prefers to be covered with a blanket, even when she eats. She purrs when petted. Waits for human contact, rolls over for belly rubs. Kimiko is sweet and clings when gently placed on the lap. Requires calmness and a quiet home. She is rather indifferent to other cats. The perfect home, for her, will be with a patient adult(s) in a calm environment. There might be a longer adjustment period to a new place.
Please help her find the right person to blossom.
