Hi, I’m Garfunkel. I was rescued from the road after I was hit by a car. The woman who rescued me took me to the vet, and I was found to have a pelvic fracture. Keeping me quiet and confining me to a small area was recommended to give me a chance to heal. She couldn’t take care of me long-term, so she brought me to SBACC, where another vet confirmed that I needed to be on cage rest for at least 4 weeks. I seem to be healing because I’m able to stand and walk, and I don’t need any pain meds. I probably had a home at one time because I’m a friendly boy who enjoys pets and loves attention from people. I’m hoping to find a home where I’ll be loved and kept safely indoors.
